The Haggarty Group Qld was established in 1949 by founders Jack and Rene Haggarty. For many years the Haggarty’s were known as the local “Bottle O”. Jack and Rene worked many long, hard years to develop their business with Jack traveling throughout the state, going far and wide collecting scrap metal while Rene would look after the business interests at home.

In 1980 John’s wife Sandra joined the firm after rearing 3 children.

In 1986, another generation of Haggarty became involved in the business with John and Sandra’s son Scott joining them in their venture with a goal to grow the business. His involvement continues to ensure the Haggarty name is synonymous with quality products and first class service.

In 1999, John and Sandra’s son Scott, was made general manager of the company, where he used his years of experience to further grow the company to where it is today!

In 2018, the 4th generation of the Haggarty Family became involved in the business with Scott’s son, Harry, joining him on his journey in the family business.

In 2021, we launched our online store, offering click & collect & delivery. Bringing THG into the digital age, allowing customer to shop without leaving their home.
